Reeeeal subtle. Zubayda is supposedly some sort of nutter, as per Suskind's One Percent Doctrine. Another prisoner, Ibrahim Zeidan, said other detainees were shown pictures of Zubayda's torture scars. This along with the SCOTUS trial is making things look pretty bad for the gov.

The disclosure from hayden came not because it was the same day the techniques were outlawd.
NY sent them a letter on wednesday saying they would publish a story about the destroyed tape on friday.
