Smoke my intelligently designed cock: I've got god on my side

Look, I never said that it's good that intelligent design is being taught, and of course there isn't a controversy. But there's really no way to lose here. When all of the little hicks in Kansas grow up, and the smart ones get to go to schools outside of the Bible Belt, we can be sure that they will learn that evolution does not face any real challenges. I just really like to see the fundamentalists take a really stupid stand like this--they're wasting political capital on something that, as Sherief noted, has absolutely no merit. This is how social movements stop moving: they take a ridiculous stand on a really dumb issue and just get ridiculed. Just look at the demand for a gold standard or whatever that shit was. I actually know literally nothing about it but I think it might help my argument.

I guess one of my major points is that the beautiful people of America, the virtuous few, will survive intact. The Christian Fundamentalists just have no chance against a population that understands science and is...... much better looking: "Sociologists... have found that religious practice correlates positively with obesity. Christians in general and Southern Baptists in particular are the heaviest".
